The Langsee (Danish: Langsøen ) is located north of Schleswig in fishing , Schleswig-Holstein ( Germany ). The basin of the lake is part of a tunnel valley that was created in the last glacial period ( Vistula Ice Age ). It has features of a tongue pelvis .
The lake is almost completely surrounded by forest. The water is naturally eutrophic (nutrient-rich).
There are bathing spots at Süderfahrenstedt and Brekling.
history
From 1191 to 1210 the Cistercian monastery Guldholm was on the north bank of the Langsee .
