Ascent history

The first ascent was made in 1982 by a Japanese expedition led by Hiroshi Inoue over the south face. On April 23, 1982, Takuya Kujimoto and the Sherpa Pasang Norbu climbed the summit. The next day, Hiroshi Inoue, two other Japanese and another Sherpa followed to the summit.

In the past, the mountain was considered a full-fledged expedition summit, the control of which was under the government of Nepal. Since 2002, the mountain has been open to trekking tours supervised by the Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA). The Langshisa Ri is listed by the NMA in the "A" category of climbing mountains. Climbing the mountain is considered difficult. Nevertheless, there are several organizers who offer mountain tours.
