The Pemthang Karpo Ri (also Dôme Blanc ) is located in a mountain range of the Jugal Himal in the central Himalayas east of the Langtang Khola river valley on the border between the Nepalese administrative zone of Bagmati and the autonomous region of Tibet (China).

The 6830  m high mountain is located in the far east of the Langtang National Park . The eight-thousander Shishapangma is 12 km north-northeast. A mountain ridge leads north to the 6742  m high Pemthang Ri . In the south the ridge leads to the 6,889  m high Gurkarpo Ri . On the western flank of the Pemthang Karpo Ri, the Langshisagletscher runs to the southwest. The Nyanang Phu Glacier flows in a southeastern direction along the eastern flank .

Ascent history

On May 14, 1955, the Swiss Raymond Lambert climbed the summit from the west together with the four Sherpas Angorbu, Kamitsering, Pasang and Pemba Gyaltzen.
