The Langstrath Beck is a river that emerges from the Angle Tarn on the north slope of Esk Pike and Bowfell in the Lake District , Cumbria , England . The river flows north between the Glaramara in the west and the High Raise in the east. The Greenup Gill flows into the river east of the village of Stonethwaite on the southern flank of Watendlath Fell . It then flows as the Stonethwaite Beck through the towns of Stonethwaite and Rosthwaite to flow north of Rosthwaite into the River Derwent .
