Laquon Treadwell Malik (* 14. June 1995 in Crete , Illinois ) is an American American football poker players on the position of wide receiver . He currently plays for the Atlanta Falcons in the National Football League (NFL). He previously played for the Minnesota Vikings .

Early years

Treadwell went to high school in his native Crete . He later attended the University of Mississippi , where he currently holds the school record for most pass catches in three seasons in college football (202); thereby scored 2,393 yards .

NFL

Minnesota Vikings

Treadwell was selected 23rd in the first round in the 2016 NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vikings . On November 6, 2016 in the game against the Detroit Lions , he scored his first pass catch in the NFL. It remained the only one for him in his rookie season. It was only in his third NFL year that he scored his first touchdown on matchday two against the Green Bay Packers . On May 1, 2019, the Minnesota Vikings announced that they would not extend Treadwell beyond the 2019 season. Treadwell scored his second touchdown in the NFL in the game against the Seattle Seahawks on Matchday 13 of the 2019 season.

On March 22, 2020, Treadwell signed a contract with the Atlanta Falcons .
