Larry Bossidy
Lawrence A. Bossidy (born March 5, 1935 in Pittsfield , Massachusetts ) is an American manager and author .
Life
After attending high school, he studied economics at Colgate University (Bachelor of Arts 1957). He was a member of the Delta Kappa Epsilon . He then did his Doctor of Humane Letters. He then worked at General Electric . From 1979 to 1981 he was CEO of General Electric Credit Corporation. From 1991 to 1999 he was Chairman and CEO of AlliedSignal Corporation. In 1999 he became Chairman of Honeywell Corporation . From 1997 to 1999 he was also Chairman of the Business Council. In 2002 he co-authored (with Ram Charan ) the bestseller Execution: The Discipline of Getting Things Done . He is currently a director at Merck & Co. He lives in Ridgefield , Connecticut.
