Career

In his youth, Lars Findler played at VfR Volkmarsen and was noticed by larger clubs due to his technique, speed and goal danger. In 1984 he moved to the B-youth of KSV Hessen Kassel and also regularly shot them to the championship. In 1987, already in the second A-youth year and at the age of 17, he moved up to the professional team of KSV Hessen Kassel with their trainer Franz Brungs and came to his first assignments. In 1989/90 Findler and his team rose to the 2nd Bundesliga . On September 28, 1989 he made his Bundesliga debut under coach Lorenz-Günther Köstner . On November 14, 1989 he shot his only Bundesliga goal against SpVgg Unterhaching . This was followed by regular missions until April 1990, including against Hertha BSC , in the starting team of the professional team, before he paused for several months due to an injury. During this time, the team's captain was Dieter Hecking , with whom Lars Findler maintained a friendly relationship.

In 1991 he moved to the league team of SC Willingen in the 3rd division and then to SpVg Brakel in the Oberliga Westfalen . In 1994 Findler decided to shift his priorities and began studying mechanical engineering in Paderborn, which he completed in 2001. The course also included a semester abroad in England , which was followed by a degree in business administration in Sweden . During this time he also joined the foreign local teams. During his time at RW Erlinghausen, he was flown in from England to three games by the club's manager at the time, Aki Watzke , now managing director of Borussia Dortmund.

After completing his studies, he started working as a manager at a company in the automotive industry and then in the wind power industry. Lars Findler is married and has three children. Today he is the owner and managing director of a company in the field of renewable energies.

Since May 2016 he has been training the U-10 team at KSV Hessen Kassel.
