Lars Geukes (born February 6, 1994 in Bocholt ) is a German volleyball and beach volleyball player .
Career hall
Lars Geukes started his career in his hometown Bocholt . During his time as a youth player, he became the German B youth champion in 2010 and several times West German champion. In the 2012/13 season he was with TuB Bocholt champion in the third division west , where he was allowed to play through a double play for the RWE Volleys Bottrop and with them was champion in the 2nd Bundesliga north .
Geukes has been playing with TuB Bocholt in the 2nd Bundesliga North since 2013.
Career Beach
In his time as a youth player, Geukes was several times West German champion. In 2010 Geukes finished 13th at the U18 European Championship in Porto with Jenne Hinrichsen. Two years later he achieved ninth place with Bennet Poniewaz at the U20 European Championships in Hartberg . At the U20-DM 2012 Geukes and his partner Lennart Bevers again became German champions.
In 2013, Lars Geukes formed a beach volleyball team with Jannik Reimann and won the bronze medal at the German U20 Championship in Marl . In the 2014 season, Geukes played with Tim Hildebrand from Rumelner TV .
Bevers / Geukes have been competing regularly at national tournaments since 2015. In 2018 they had several top ten placements on the Techniker Beach Tour and thus qualified for the German championship in Timmendorfer Strand . Bevers / Geukes will start again on the Techniker Beach Tour in 2019 .
