The place has only about 300 inhabitants, but is still considered a "gate" (gateway), because many spectacular sights can be visited from there. Boiling Lake , Fresh Water Lake and Titou Gorge, among others . Located at an altitude of 370 m above sea level, the place has a cooler climate and offers beautiful views of the Caribbean Sea . The place is only 20 minutes from the capital Roseau . The path ends in a dead end. The road to get there was a dangerous winding, single lane, but has been upgraded in recent years. The aerial tram tourist attraction , which was used to get to the top of the mountains, was closed again in 2012 because it was not profitable in 8 out of 9 years of operation.
