Laura Dünnwald

Laura Dünnwald (born May 2, 1974 in Berlin ) is a German journalist and television presenter .

During her school days in Hamburg she was already aiming for a career in television and gained her first experience through an internship at NDR . After graduating from high school, she first studied art history and communication science in Hamburg , but later switched to law .

In 1997 Laura Dünnwald completed an internship at the station Premiere and appeared for the first time as a presenter in front of the camera. In 1999 she moved to RTL and in April 2001 to ARD Tagesschau . From September 2005 she was one of the speakers for the 8 pm news. From September 2009 to April 2010 she hosted the daily lifestyle magazine euromaxx - Life and Culture in Europe on DW-TV, alternating with Kristina Sterz and Corinna Wolters . In May 2010 she switched to ARD-aktuell and moderated the daily news program EinsExtra Aktuell. Since January 2011, Dünnwald has moderated the news program Newstime on ProSieben, alternating with Michael Marx , Leslie Nachmann and Stephanie Puls .

Laura Dünnwald plays the violin and has perfect pitch . In her childhood she was Hamburg youth champion in tennis.

Dünnwald is married and had a son on January 28, 2008.
