Laura Solari (born January 5, 1913 in Trieste , † September 13, 1984 in Bellinzona ) was an Italian actress .

Life

Born under the name Laura Camaur as the daughter of an artist, she studied in Vienna and at the Accademia di Brera in Milan. She joined a group of film people and got her first film roles, soon leading roles in Italian films. Laura Solari was a typical femme fatale in the film world around 1940. That year she was awarded a prize at the IFF Venice for her performance in the film Don Pasquale .

In the context of the close cooperation between the German and Italian film industries at the time, German film also became aware of them. Laura Solari acted in three UFA feature films and was thus the best-known Italian actress in Germany in her time.

In the post-war period she played mainly in the theater and on Italian television. In addition, you could experience them again in two German-Italian productions. She was married to the American industrialist Oscar Semere until her divorce in 1940.
