Laura Weider (born March 20, 1981 in Hilden ) is a German musician.

life and work

Laura Weider has been playing the piano since she was 16 . According to her own statements, she is self-taught and appears as a solo pianist at public events that are otherwise dominated by musical styles such as techno or house , for example regularly at the Fusion Festival , the Feel Festival or in the Berlin Bar 25 .

She has also composed music for various theater and film productions, including music for the documentary Bar25 - Days Outside Time . From August 14, 2009 to August 16, 2009 she played the piano in Bar 25 for 40 hours straight and received an entry in the Guinness Book of Records in the category “Longest concert by a solo artist” . After just a few months, she broke the record of Chilly Gonzales , who played for 27 hours straight.

In 2013 she released the EP Feldrecord im Zirkus together with the Berlin DJ duo Robosonic , published by Stil vor Talent . Further publications include Spring in's Feld (Metanoia), Oregano (with Acid Pauli, published by Crosstown Rebels), Shifting Down (Pele & Nico Stojan, published by Kindisch), The Crayon Incident (Cambuche Records). She lives and works in Berlin .
