Lauren Ann Fowlkes (born July 6, 1988 in Kansas City , Missouri ) is a former American soccer player who was last under contract with the Chicago Red Stars in the National Women's Soccer League in the 2013 season.

Career

In the 2011 season Fowlkes played for the WPS participant Philadelphia Independence , but remained there without a competitive game. In early 2013, she was signed for the newly formed NWSL of Chicago, and made her league debut on April 14 against Seattle Reign FC . On May 25, 2013, Fowlkes announced her retirement from professional sports.

National team

Fowlkes played for the US youth teams in the U-17, U-20 and U-23 age groups. She won the 2008 World Cup with the U-20 .
