Laurence Bond
Laurence Bond ( Laurence Temple Bond ; born December 31, 1905 in Marylebone , † December 1, 1943 in Southend-on-Sea ) was a British pole vaulter .
At the Olympic Games in Amsterdam in 1928 , he was tenth.
On August 2, 1930, he set a national record in London of 3.85, which lasted for six years. In the same year he was starting fifth for England at the British Empire Games in Hamilton .
He died of complications from an appendectomy .
