Laurence Gardner (* 17th May 1943 in London Borough of Hackney , † 12. August 2010 in Exeter ) was a British bestseller - author and historical revisionist .

Laurence Gardner worked as a history researcher and genealogist for decades researching and deciphering the questions related to the Grail and its historical and symbolic meaning. At least in the English-speaking world, his book trilogy on the Grail Bloodline was a bestseller success. Gardner's investigations pursue a genealogical connection that sees the Grail as a symbol of a spiritual kingdom whose traces can be traced from pre-Christian times, through the bloodline of Jesus, and finally into the Scottish royal family of the Stuarts . There is consequently certain similarities with the equally controversial theses of the well-known book The Holy Grail and its Heirs and with Dan Brown's hit novel The Da Vinci Code .

Gardner also wrote librettos for operas that were performed in London at the Royal Opera and Covent Garden.

Gardner drew attention to the Talpiot Tomb and the possibility that it might have contained the remains of the Holy Family on his website in 2005, long before the Discovery Channel documentary by James Cameron . After the documentary was broadcast in March 2007, he posted a sharp criticism of this interpretation online.

Gardner is seen by historians and other scholars as a conspiracy theorist , pseudo-historian and pseudo- scientist and his theses are consistently rejected because he z. B. in his latest book The Secret of the Grail Kings (2006) argues that the Sumerian gods of the Anunnaki are in truth extraterrestrials from another planet in our solar system, from which the "Grail Kings" up to Jesus are said to have descended. In his book Lost Secrets of the Sacred Ark: Amazing Revelations of the Incredible Power of Gold (2004), Gardner further claims that there is a fantastic substance called "ORMUS" (= white powder gold, monatomic gold) that humans use Could overcome gravity, and that this was already known in antiquity, when the ark of the covenant supposedly owed its magical powers to this substance.

A certain connection seems to exist between Gardner and Ramtha's School of Enlightenment of the American channeling medium J. Z. Knight , since both are mentioned in the acknowledgments of his books and in the USA his video The Real Truth can be obtained through Ramtha's School of Enlightenment .
