Lots of difficult patients

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Loud Difficult Patients was a literary series in which the literary critic Marcel Reich-Ranicki sat down with Peter Voss for a literary conversation about “Loud Difficult Patients”. The programs were broadcast on Südwestfernsehen.

The broadcast started on May 30, 2001. The authors discussed were selected by Reich-Ranicki. Only authors he had met personally and who were no longer alive at the time of the interview were dealt with. The series was repeated in various programs in the following years. The conversations have also been published as a book.

Under the ironic title Loud Difficult Patients , the individual authors were not only introduced, but anecdotes from the literary business and life of the authors were also given.

Exactly in the style of Lauter difficult patients , there was another series of conversations by Peter Voss and Marcel Reich-Ranicki under the title What are our classics good for? Lessing , Schiller , Goethe , Kleist , Büchner and Heine were treated .

Also in the style of Lauter Difficult Patients , but not under this title, Peter Voss and Marcel Reich-Ranicki also occasionally sat down at 3sat to talk about certain literature topics - in September 2004, for example, about Marcel Reich-Ranicki's conceived literary canon project.

Similarly in the style of the show, Peter Voss is doing another series with changing conversation partners under the title Bühler Encounters .
