The Lavalle Peak is a 2175 m high mountain in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the West Quartzite Range of the Concord Mountains, it rises 1.5 km northwest of Gibraltar Peak .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own measurements and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1960 to 1964. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1969 after Lieutenant David O. Lavallee, a naval diver at McMurdo Station in three Antarctic summer campaigns 1963 and 1967.
