Lawrence hoods
Lawrence Alan Hauben (born March 3, 1931 in New York , † December 22, 1985 in Santa Barbara , California ) was an American actor and screenwriter who won the Oscar for the screenplay for One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975) was nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay , a Golden Globe for Best Screenplay , and the Writers Guild of America Award (WGA Award) for Best Adapted Screenplay, as well as the British Academy Film Award (BAFTA Film Award) for Best Screenplay.
Life
Hauben was initially an actor and starred in the crime film Point Blank (1967) and in the television series Then Came Bronson (1969) and The Outsider (1969).
For the film One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975) directed by Miloš Forman with the main actors Jack Nicholson , Louise Fletcher and Brad Dourif , his only work as a screenwriter, he and Bo Goldman received the 1976 Oscar for the best adapted screenplay, a Golden Globe for Best Screenplay and the WGA Award for Best Adapted Screenplay. In addition, they both received a 1977 BAFTA Film Award nomination for best screenplay.
