Le Châtel is a commune Déléguée in the French commune of La Tour-de-Maurienne in the Savoie department in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes with 192 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017).
The municipality of Le Châtel was merged with Pontamafrey-Montpascal and Hermillon to form the Commune nouvelle La Tour-en-Maurienne on January 1, 2019 , and has had the status of a Commune déléguée ever since. The municipality of Le Châtel belonged to the canton of Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne in the arrondissement of the same name . It bordered to the northwest and southwest by Pontamafrey-Montpascal , to the northeast by Saint-Jean-de-Belleville , to the west and south by Hermillon and to the west by Montvernier .
