le_mol is a Viennese instrumental duo that moves between genres such as post-rock , noise-rock , ambient and progressive rock and is characterized by the excessive use of loop effects in their live shows.

history

Started by Raimund Schlager as a solo project in 2008, Sebastian Götzendorfer completed the duo on drums in 2012. Together they developed the self-published debut Aleph One , on which elements of post-rock were used, but unconventional sounds were used right from the start, making it difficult to attribute a genre.

With the successor Kara Oh Kee , which was also produced in-house and also released on vinyl for the first time in DIY fashion , the sound was continued and refined. In 2018 the third album Heads Heads Heads was released on the Viennese label Panta R&E. Georg Gabler is responsible for the production and the mastering in the renowned Abbey Road Studios was done by Frank Arkwright. A music video for the single The Waltz King was designed together with the animation artist Felix A. Weisz and published in January 2018. The three publications were largely received positively internationally

Le_mol tours repeatedly with national and international appearances in Slovakia , Slovenia , Germany and Austria . The band played concerts together with Mono , God Is an Astronaut , pg.lost , Maybeshewill , Rosetta , The Twilight Sad and others.

In December 2019, a new song entitled Hands was released, in which vocals can be heard for the first time and was contributed by the musician and writer Hans Platzgumer ( HP Zinker ). The single heralds the album White Noise Everywhere to be released in April 2020 .
