Lea W. Frey

Lea W. Frey (* around 1982 in Berlin ) is a German singer and songwriter .

Frey had classical singing lessons as a teenager; she also led a rock band, which led to conflicts with her teacher. Since 2003 she has been working with the keyboard player Venezian in the Nachtlüx project . From 2005 she studied jazz singing at the Hochschule für Musik Weimar with Jeff Cascaro , Michael Schiefel and Daniel Mattar . With her trio, which includes the brothers Bernhard (bass) and Peter Meyer (guitar), she released two albums with cover songs . In New European Jazz Collective Rob Spelberg it has songs by Kate Bush interpreted in the big band Moritz and the big old problem of Moritz Sembritzki texts about dreaming. She was also active in the Rilkelieder project with the pianist Carsten Daerr . Nicolai Thärichen brought her into his Hendrix project. In 2017 she presented her own songs on her album Plateaus . In addition, she devotes herself increasingly to classical music.
