Liz Kosack

Liz Kosack (* around 1983 ) is an American keyboardist and graphic artist.

Kosack, who lives in New York City and since 2013 also in Berlin, always wears self-made face masks when performing on stage. In 2013 she presented an LP in the Trio Vax (with saxophonist Patrick Breiner and drummer Devin Gray). She appears in Wahrchester / The Hero of Warchester with Anna Webber and Nathaniel Morgan and Brad Henkel . She played in the duo RRR with Dan Peter Sundland , which, expanded by Steve Heather , also gives concerts as Y. She also appeared with Christian Tschuggnall in the duo Sunrise Over a Dystopic Future City . Like Max Andrzejewski , Brad Henkel, Simon Kanzler, Dora Osterloh , Elias Stemeseder or Laura Winkler , she belongs to the collective KIM (composed and improvised music), with whom she gave a concert at the JazzFest Berlin in 2018 . With MEOW! (with Jim Black , Cansu Tanrıkulu , Dan Peter Sundland) she performed at the Saalfelden Jazz Festival in 2019 . She can also be heard on albums by Orter Eparg , Tilo Weber , Pascal Niggenkemper and Lea W. Frey .

In 2019 Kosack was awarded the SWR Jazz Prize.
