Leah Ayres , born Leah Simpson (* 28 May 1957 in Baltimore in the US state of Maryland ) is an American actress in cinema and television films from 1979 to 1998.

Life

Ayres was featured in Darci Doll's fashion catalogs in the late 1970s and early 1980s . She made her debut in the musical film Behind the Spotlight (1979) by Bob Fosse . In 1979 she also appeared on the television series Love of Life . In the horror film Burning Revenge (1981) she played one of the bigger roles.

Ayres played the role of Chris Macon , wife of the fugitive inmate Eddie Macon ( John Schneider ), who is being pursued by US Marshal Carl Marzack ( Kirk Douglas ) in the 1983 action film Head Hunt . In the television film Women Like Velvet and Steel (1984) she took on the leading role. She also played a leading role in the drama Dancing in the City (1987). In the martial arts film Bloodsport (1988) she played on the side of Jean-Claude Van Damme . She played the role of Marcia Brady Logan in the 1990 television series The Bradys . Her last appearance so far was in an episode of the television series Sliders - The Gateway to a Foreign Dimension from 1998.

Ayres earned an MA from Pacific Oaks College in Pasadena , California in 1996 . She gave up her acting career and devoted herself to teaching.

Ayres married screenwriter Bruce Kalish and has his own company that makes imaginative audio and game sets for children. In addition, she works in Encino , a district of Los Angeles, as a yoga teacher, mediated by the company Yoga Ed. (LA)
