The Lear Spire is a 2470 m high rock needle in East Antarctic Victoria Land . It rises 5 km south of Ugolini Peak in the Colwell massif .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1994 after D'Ann Figard Lear (* 1949), librarian of the Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research .
