CVs is a television broadcast by Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk (MDR) that has been broadcast at irregular intervals since January 1998 with up to 20 programs per year.

Each of the 30-minute programs shows a portrait of a person in public, which traces their artistic or political career. Both the deceased and active personalities are presented. In some of the programs, historians, companions and family members have their say by commenting on episodes of the résumé.

The portrayed include, for example, the composer Richard Strauss , Prince Leopold III. Friedrich Franz von Anhalt-Dessau, the entrepreneur Carl Zeiß , the social democrat Clara Zetkin , the organ building family Silbermann , the sculptor Volkmar Kühn , the cellist Jan Vogler , the Frauenkirchen architect George Bähr , as well as actors like Jan Josef Liefers , Herbert Köfer , Michael Gwisdek , Peter Sodann , Lutz Jahoda and actresses like Veronica Ferres , Helga Göring , Ingeborg Krabbe , Ursula Karusseit , Dagmar Manzel and Claudia Michelsen .
