Led Bib is a British jazz ensemble .

Band history

Mark Holub, drummer of the quintet , formed the Led Bib formation in 2003 while studying at Middlesex University . Her debut album Arboretum won the Peter Whittingham Jazz Award in 2005 . Her second album, Sizewell Tea, followed in 2007; a limited edition live album was released in 2008. The fourth album by the jazz combo , Sensible Shoes , was nominated in 2009 for the Mercury Prize . Stylistically, the ensemble, which performed at the North Sea Jazz Festival as well as in the Queen Elizabeth Hall, moves between swinging post-bop , free jazz and borrowings from neo-prog and noise rock .
