Ledol (Ledumcampher) is a poisonous sesquiterpene . Ingestion leads to vomiting, sweating, increased pulse rate, muscle and joint pain as well as cramps and states of excitement. In Northern Europe, Grutbier mixed with swamp porst has been brewed since the time before Christ . Epimers of Ledol are Viridiflorol and Globulol.
