Lee Hyo-young
Lee Hyo-jung ( Korean 이효정 ; born January 13, 1981 in Busan ) is a badminton player from South Korea .
Athletic career
Lee Hyo-jung won the mixed gold medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics together with her partner Lee Yong-dae . Lee Hyo-jung and Lee Yong-dae reached the final as unseeded players and won against number 1 seeded Indonesians Liliyana Natsir and Nova Widianto with 21:11 and 21:17.
Lee Hyo-jung won another medal with silver in women's doubles at the same event. With Lee Kyung-won, they were fourth in the final and lost to the number two Chinese Du Jing and Yu Yang .
On the other hand, she returned from the 2004 Olympic Games without a medal. In the women's doubles with Hwang Yu-mi they had a bye in the first round and then won against Cheng Wen-Hsing and Chien Yu-Chin from Taiwan . In the quarterfinals the Koreans lost to the Chinese pairing Zhao Tingting and Wei Yili with 15: 8, 6:15 and 13:15. In the mixed with Kim Yong-hyun it was even over in round 2. After another bye in round 1, they lost to Jens Eriksen and Mette Schjoldager from Denmark in the round of 16 .
