Lee Kyung-won ( Korean 이경원 ; born January 21, 1980 in Changwon , Gyeongsangnam-do ) is a badminton player from South Korea .

Career

Lee Kyung-won won the women's doubles at the German Open in 2003 with Ra Kyung-min .

Lee competed for Korea in badminton at the 2004 Olympics in women's doubles with her partner Ra Kyung-min. They had a bye in the first round. In the second round they beat Pernille Harder and Mette Schjoldager from Denmark . In the quarter-finals Lee and Ra beat Lotte Bruil and Mia Audina from the Netherlands 15: 5, 15: 2. They lost the semi-final against Zhang Jiewen and Yang Wei from China with 15: 6, 15: 4, but won the match for third place against Zhao Tingting and Wei Yili , also from China , with 10:15, 15: 9, 15: 7, and won the bronze medal .

In 2008 she and her partner Lee Hyo-jung won the women's doubles competition at the Yonex German Open in Mülheim an der Ruhr .
