Lee Yu-bin (born April 23, 2001 ) is a South Korean short tracker .

Career

Lee started internationally for the first time in January 2016 at the Junior World Championships in Sofia . With third place over 1000 m and second place over 500 m and in the 1500 m superfinal, she won the bronze medal in the all-around competition and with the relay over 3000 m the silver medal. In the following year she won gold in the all- around competition with three first places (500 m, 1000 m, 1500 m superfinals) at the Junior World Championships in Innsbruck . At the beginning of the 2017/18 season she started the World Cup for the first time in Dordrecht and finished third in the 1000 m. At the following World Cup in Shanghai , she won the relay and came fourth over 1000 m. She reached sixth overall place in the World Cup over 1000 m. In February 2018 she won the gold medal with the relay over 3000 m at the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang . The following month she also won the relay gold medal at the World Championships in Montreal . In the 2019/20 season, which she finished in tenth place in the 1000 m World Cup, she won her first individual World Cup victory in Dordrecht over 1000 m. In addition, she was there third with the season.
