Legend was a British rock pub band from Southend-on-Sea .
history
Legend was founded in 1968 by Mickey Jupp . The band released their first album and two singles the following year. Since Jupp had previously worked with Robin Trower , the band Procol Harum could be won as a guest musician on one of the pieces. However, the album and singles were unsuccessful. The same fate befell the two following albums, whereupon Jupp Legend broke up.
The drummer of the second album, Bill Fifield, joined the glam rock band T. Rex in early 1971 and took the stage name Bill Legend on the basis of his membership in Legend .
