Lele Forood (born September 10, 1956 in San Francisco ) is a former American tennis player .

Career

Between 1976 and 1983 she took part in Grand Slam tournaments. She reached the double semifinals of the US Open in 1977 . She lost this on the side of Raquel Giscafré against Renée Richards / Betty-Ann Stuart with 5: 7, 7: 5 and 1: 6. She won the gold medal in singles and mixed at the Pan American Games in 1975 in Mexico City .

Personal

In 1978 she graduated from Stanford University with a degree in Sociology . Today she works there as a tennis trainer.
