Len Eyre
Len Eyre (actually Leonard Eyre ; born November 27, 1925 in Sheffield , † 1986 ) was a British medium and long-distance runner .
In 1950 he won the British Empire Games in Auckland for England over three miles and won silver in the mile run . At the European Athletics Championships in Brussels , he was fifth over 1500 m .
At the Olympic Games in Helsinki in 1952 , he was eliminated over 1500 m in the preliminary run.
