Leng Tch'e is a Belgian grindcore band from Ghent . The group plays traditional Grindcore, which has been enriched with elements from Extreme Metal over the years . The band calls their style Razorgrind .

history

The group was founded in 2001. The name Leng Tch'e stands for death by a thousand cuts in Chinese and is the name of an ancient Chinese torture method in which the victim is cut until he dies. Drummer Sven de Caluwé was also active with Aborted . After numerous line-up changes and the albums Death by a Thousands Cuts (2002) and Man Made Predator (2003), the line-up stabilized and the group was signed by Relapse Records . The Process of Elimination was published there in 2005 and Marasmus in 2007 . In 2007, drummer Sven de Caluwé, the last founding member, left the group, and in 2008 long-time guitarist Boris Cornelissen Leng Tch'e also left. With a completely new line-up and now under contract with Season of Mist , the so far last album Hypomaniac was released in 2010 .
