Lenno was a municipality with 1873 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2013) in the Italian province of Como in the Lombardy region .
geography
Lenno is located on Lake Como on Strada statale 340 (state road) between Ossuccio and Mezzegra .
Community merger
From 1928 to 1947 Lenno belonged together with Mezzegra and Tremezzo to the municipality of Tremezzina . 4242 inhabitants lived in the community (as of 1936). In 1947 it was dissolved and the three founding communities regained their independence.
Lenno is now part of the new municipality of Tremezzina , which was formed on February 4, 2014 through the merger of the municipalities of Lenno, Mezzegra , Tremezzo and Ossuccio . An advisory referendum took place in the four municipalities on December 1, 2013, in which 63% of voters gave a positive opinion on the draft.
In November 2013 the population was 5,124.
