The Lenzfrieder mountain ridge is a natural elevation near Lenzfried , a parish village of Kempten (Allgäu) . The 765 meter high, east-west running ridge is built, like the Burghalde , from deposits of the Upper Sea Molasse .

A mining of the fossil-rich sandstone for building purposes can be proven from Roman times to the Middle Ages. The Roman country town of Cambodunum built with the sandstones and got its water from springs on the ridge.

The Lenzfried elevated tank has been in the Hinterholz corridor to the east of the ridge since 1906 . It was expanded underground in 2005.

The quarry on the Lenzfrieder mountain ridge has been registered as an extensive natural monument since 1979. It has an area of 624 m².
