LeoVegas is a Swedish mobile gaming company and provider of online casino and sports betting products such as table games, video slot machines , progressive jackpots, video poker and live sports betting for a number of international markets. LeoVegas Gaming Ltd. is a subsidiary of LeoVegas AB, the parent company whose shares are listed on the Nasdaq First North Premier List on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.

Company history

LeoVegas was founded in 2011 by Gustaf Hagman (Group CEO) and Robin Ramm-Ericson (Chairman of the Board & CXO) to become number 1 in the mobile casino business. LeoVegas grew rapidly due to the increase in smartphone usage.

The company went public on March 17, 2016. In the run-up to the IPO, LeoVegas announced an increase in annual sales of 124% to € 83 million in 2015 compared to € 37 million in 2014. The number of customers for both years and 2013 was as follows; 54.283 (2013), 100.745 (2014), 202.498 (2015).

In May 2016 LeoVegas launched its sports betting product LeoVegas SPORT.

In June 2017, LeoVegas signed a two-year deal with EFL Championship Club Brentford to become both their new jersey and title sponsor. A three-year contract was signed with Norwich City.

On October 27, 2017, LeoVegas acquired Royal Panda for EUR 60 million as part of the company's expansion into regulated markets.

In February 2018 LeoVegas made the acquisition of World of Sportbetting Ltd  (Malta) public. Together with the publication of the purchase, LeoVegas Sport declared that they had brought football icon Lothar Matthäus and handball professional Stefan Kretzschmar on board as ambassadors for the German market.

Business activity

The head office is in Stockholm and the brand "LeoVegas" belongs to LeoVegas Gaming Ltd. based in Malta . Technical development is carried out by another subsidiary of the Gears of Leo group based in Sweden. The online casino and sports betting products are licensed and regulated under the supervision of the Maltese Lottery and Gaming Authority (MGA). In the UK , the company complies with the UK Gambling Commission requirements.

LeoVegas' core markets are the UK and the Nordic countries Sweden , Norway and Finland . Although the company is also present in other European countries and the rest of the world. LeoVegas offers a range of casino games from game providers including: NetEnt , Yggdrasil, Evolution Games, IGT , PlayNo Go, Playtech , Microgaming , Authentic Gaming, Bally and WMS . Some of the casino games on offer are Roulette , Blackjack , Baccarat, and Caribbean Stud Poker .

LeoVegas uses the Kambi platform for sports betting for a front-end user interface, the creation of odds and customer information.
