Leo Girndt

Johann Eduard Leopold Emil Girndt (called: Leo Girndt ) (born July 26, 1834 in Bobersberg , † February 13, 1913 in Groß-Lichterfelde ) was a German lawyer and politician .

Life

Born as the son of a mayor and member of the state parliament , Girndt studied law in Berlin after attending grammar school in Frankfurt (Oder) . During his studies he became a member of the Normannia Berlin Landsmannschaft in 1853 . After his studies he became an auscultator and trainee lawyer at the Cottbus District Court and the Higher Regional Court . In 1861 he became mayor of the city of Wusterhausen , in 1869 of the city of Havelberg and in 1871 of Sorau. In 1876 he became mayor and then mayor of Königshütte , which he remained until his retirement in 1900.
