Leo Held (born January 27, 1874 in Vienna ; † May 16, 1903 there ) was an Austrian music director and composer.

Leo Held, son of Ludwig Held , was taught at the Conservatory of the Society of Friends of Music . a. by Anton Bruckner . He then worked as a theater conductor in Berlin and Hamburg before moving back to Vienna. Here he began to work as an operetta composer ; most of the libretti of his works are by his father.

Held ended his life by suicide .
