Leo August Eduard Stocken , from 1871 von Stocken (born May 7, 1862 in Berlin ; † December 22, 1926 ) was a Prussian lieutenant general .

Life

origin

He was the son of the later Prussian Lieutenant General Eduard von Stocken (1824-1897) and his wife Maria Hedwig, née Quassowski (1832-1906). His father was raised to the hereditary Prussian nobility on June 16, 1871 because of his brave behavior during the Franco-Prussian War .

Military career

At the beginning of the First World War , Major General von Stocken was Chief of Staff of the IV Army Corps on the Western Front . From December 24, 1914 to October 6, 1915 he was in command of the 81st Reserve Division and took part in the XXXXI. Reserve Corps in Galicia participated in the Battle of Gorlice-Tarnow . From March 3, 1916 to November 22, 1917 he commanded the 10th Landwehr Division .

family

Stocken married Anna von Steinkeller (born March 20, 1866) on October 27, 1884. The son Eduard Erich (born April 15, 1891 in Berlin) emerged from the marriage.
