Leonie Charlotte von Hase (* 1985 in Windhoek , South West Africa ) is a German - Namibian beauty queen . She was elected Miss Germany in 2020 .

Life

Leonie von Hase was born into a German Namibian family. Her great-grandfather was Georg von Hase . Her grandfather Hans Jürgen von Hase (1911–2006), born in Kiel , was from 1981 to 1983 in the Council of Ministers , the forerunner of the transitional government of national unity , under Dirk Mudge Minister for Agriculture, Water Management, Transport and Deep Sea Fisheries of South West Africa. Her father Raimar von Hase was president of the professional farmers' association Namibia Agricultural Union from 2004 to 2008 and of the Karakul Board of Namibia from 2008 to 2018 .

As the youngest of four daughters, she grew up the Swakarazucht - farm their parents near Uhlenhorst in the region Hardap on.

After graduating from the German Higher Private School in Windhoek , she studied acting , media studies and English literature in Cape Town , South Africa , and graduated in Creative Brand Strategy . Afterwards she worked in London , Stuttgart , Berlin , Athens and Milan , among others as a photo model . She has been running an e-shop for second-hand clothing and vintage objects since 2019 .

In 2019 Leonie von Hase became Miss Schleswig-Holstein, in February 2020 she was elected Miss Germany 2020 from 16 finalists at Europa-Park in Rust . She has a son and is the first mother to receive this title, and at 35 years of age, the oldest candidate to be named Miss Germany.
