Leopold Steffelin von Hartenstein

Leopold Ritter Steffelin Edler von Hartenstein (born December 13, 1797 in Wurzach , † October 31, 1859 in Ravensburg ) was a German lawyer and politician .

Life

Born as the son of a Privy Councilor and Princely Waldburg-Wurzach Chancellor , Steffelin studied law in Tübingen from 1815 to 1818 after attending grammar school in Kempten . In 1816 he joined the Alte Arminia Tübingen fraternity and, since 1818, the Germania fraternity . After completing his studies, he was appointed chief justice procurator in Ulm . In 1850 he was a member of the Third State Assembly of the Kingdom of Württemberg for the Oberamt Wangen , in which he acted as secretary on the board.
