Leryn Dahiana Franco Stenery (born March 1, 1982 in Asunción ) is a Paraguayan athlete and model .
After Leryn Franco in youth next to the Javelin still triple jump was operated, it has since focused fully on the Javelin. At the World Athletics Championships in 1999 in Bydgoszcz , she failed with 43.56 m in qualification. The 2001 Summer Universiade in Beijing brought tenth place with 43.69 m. In 2003 she was at the Pan American Games in Santo Domingo with 50.21 m eighth and retired from the World Athletics Championships in Saint-Denis with 51.13 m as 24th of the qualification. A year later she started at the Olympic Games in Athens and finished 42nd in qualification.
At the 2007 Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro, it was only twelfth. Things went better at the 2007 South American Athletics Championships , where she won the bronze medal; At the 2011 South American Athletics Championships , it was even silver with 55.66 m. The 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing ended prematurely after 45.34 m with a 51st place in the qualification. Also at the Olympic Games in London in 2012 , she was eliminated in the preliminary round.
She set her personal best of 57.77 m on June 8, 2012 in Barquisimeto . She is 1.74 m tall and weighs 54 kg.
In addition to her athletics career, she works as a model and takes part in beauty competitions. She took part in the Miss Bikini Universe election and came second in the 2006 Miss Paraguay election. She came in 86th in the Top 99 Women 2009 poll on the AskMen.com website. In two different polls for the Hottest Female Athlete on the Bleacher Report website , she was sixth and one in 2009 and 2010. In addition, Leryn Franco, who also works as a TV presenter in her Paraguayan homeland, was voted the most beautiful athlete at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.
