Location and surroundings
The mountain rises east of Rudolice v Horách or southeast of Malý Háj and forms with the Medvědí skála the mightiest mountain range in the central part of the Ore Mountains. The massif lies between the small Saxon town of Olbernhau and the Czech town of Litvínov and is surrounded by the valleys of the Natzschung , Schweinitz and Flöha .
The Eduardův kámen ( Eduardstein ) is a striking 908 m high rocky peak, which lies in front of the Lesenská pláň to the west. It is clearly visible and easily accessible from the mountain village of Malý Háj.
The Lesenská pláň lies east of the Eduardstein. Its highest point is in a young larch plantation.
