Lesley-Anne Down (born March 17, 1954 in London ) is a British actress and former model .

Career

She began modeling and acting at the age of ten . In 1970 she was voted Britain's most beautiful teenage model. She became known as an actress with the role of "Georgina Worsley" in the British series Das Haus am Eaton Place , which she played from 1973 to 1975. She then rose to prominence with films such as Inspector Clouseau, the "best" man at Interpol and The Deadly Triangle , in which she played alongside Harrison Ford . In 1979 she starred in The Great Train Robbery alongside Sean Connery and Donald Sutherland . However, she became popular as Madeline Main in the TV miniseries Torches in the Storm . She also played the role of "Stephanie Rogers" in the TV series Dallas in 1990 and "Jacqueline Payne Marone" in the soap Reich und Schön from 2003 to 2012 .

Private

In the 1970s, she dated actor and director Bruce Robinson for ten years . Her first husband was Enrique Gabriel from 1980 to 1981. Her second marriage was from 1982 to 1985 with the renowned director William Friedkin (French Connection, The Exorcist), with whom she had their first son (1982). Since 1985 she has been married to the cameraman and director Don E. FauntLeRoy . With him she has their second son, who was born in 1998.
