Death Wish V - Face of Death (Alternative title: Death Wish V - The Face of Death ) is an American action film from director Allan A. Goldstein from the year 1994 and is the last part of the successful Death Wish series with Charles Bronson .

Paul Kersey has renounced his past as an avenger and is under the identity of Paul Stewart in a witness protection program , he also works as a renowned professor of architecture at a university. He leads a happy life with his younger partner, fashion designer and ex-model Olivia Regent, and their teenage daughter Chelsea. He even plans to marry his girlfriend. However, when Olivia's tyrannical ex-husband Tommy O'Shea, an unscrupulous gang boss, pushes more and more into her business and uses it for criminal activities and demands custody of their daughter, Kersey tries to get her to testify against her ex-husband to move to take legal action against him. However, through a traitor in the police force, Hector Vasquez, O'Shea learns of Olivia's plans early on and has her intimidated by a thug who brutally abuses her and disfigures her forever.

The police are powerless, but Kersey initially remains calm and relies entirely on the rule of law . However, when the deaths of willing witnesses increase and Olivia also falls victim to three killers, the situation escalates. Prosecutor Hoyle and his supposedly loyal assistant Hector Vasquez simply fail to take action against organized crime. And Chelsea will be transferred against their will into the custody of her biological father O'Shea, overwhelm Kersey revenge and vigilantism feelings . Contrary to previous habits, the aged avenger not only kills the members of the criminal syndicate with the revolver, but also decimates them with other brutal methods. After Vasquez was exposed as an informer and liquidated in self-defense, prosecutor Hoyle begins to tolerate the behavior of the merciless Kerseys.

Meanwhile, the alerted O'Shea takes strict security measures and is protected by a small private army of bodyguards and thugs. Furthermore, the gang boss becomes more active and lures the hunting Kersey with the help of his unsuspecting daughter Chelsea to a textile factory. There is an armed confrontation there. Kersey eliminates all opponents, including O'Shea, whom he was in the presence of Lt. Throws Mickey King into an acid bath and kills him so excruciatingly. At the end of the film, Kersey, who can be sure that his act will go unpunished, goes to the waiting Chelsea.
