Leslie A. Adelson

Leslie Allen Adelson (born December 4, 1951 ) is an American literary scholar.

Life

Leslie A. Adelson was with a dissertation on 1982 Botho Strauss at the Washington University doctorate. Since 1983 she has been writing for the literary magazine New German Critique . In 1996 she became Professor of German Studies at Cornell University and headed the Institute for German Cultural Studies. In 2000, she translated Zafer Şenocak's Atlas of Tropical Germany into English and made the American German scholars aware of the influence of migration on contemporary German literature.

In 2014 Adelson co-founded the “Alexander Kluge Yearbook”.
