Letícia Cherpe de Souza (born May 6, 1996 in São Paulo ) is a Brazilian sprinter .

Athletic career

For the first time at an international championship, Letícia de Souza competed at the Youth South American Championships 2012 in Mendoza, Argentina , where she won over 200 meters in a time of 24.30 s. In 2013 she took part in the World Youth Championships in Donetsk , where she finished eighth over 200 meters. In addition, she retired from the Brazilian sprint relay in the preliminary round. In 2014 she won the bronze medal over 400 meters at the U23 South American Championships in Montevideo . In 2016 she won the gold medal in the Brazilian 4 x 400 meter relay as well as the bronze medal in the individual competition at the Ibero-American Championships in Rio de Janeiro . A few weeks later she was part of the Brazilian relay at the Olympic Games there , with which she was eliminated in the preliminary round. In 2017 she took part in the South American Championships in Luque and qualified over 400 meters for the final, but could not finish her run there.
