In plants, the moss - Family Leucodontaceae is usually relatively strong pleurokarpe Moose. The representatives occur mainly in the temperate climates of the world.

features

The main trunks grow creeping on rock or bark. Only slightly branched side stems rise from the stems.

The leaves are usually roughly egg-shaped. The central rib can be designed very differently. In addition to the central rib, some species have several clearly recognizable side ribs. The cells of the leaves are rhombic in the front part, elongated rhombic in the lower part. The cells of the leaf wings are specially developed in some species. The capsule is usually upright and has a double peristome . The kalyptra is cap-shaped.
