Levent Yüksel
Levent Yüksel (born October 21, 1964 in Antalya ) is an artist of Turkish pop music .
Life
Yüksel attended school up to middle school in his native city of Antalya. He started playing guitar during middle school and was soon making music for wedding parties. To become a professional musician , he enrolled at the State Conservatory in İstanbul ( İstanbul Üniversitesi Devlet Conservatuarı ) and studied double bass .
After his military service , Yüksel played the bass guitar and sang in a dance and music orchestra. This group - which also included Sertab Erener , Fatih Erkoç and Aşkın Arsunan , among others - was later discovered by Sezen Aksu . Yüksel married twice, but is divorced again.
After a six-month production period, Yüksel released - together with Uzay Heparı - his first album, Med-Cezir (1993), which was very successful with almost one million copies sold. Due to strokes of fate such as the death of Uzay and serious operations, he stopped playing for two years and in 1996 released his second album Levent Yüksel'in 2nd CD'si . The album was co-produced by Onno Tunç , who died two days after its release. Yüksel reached his zenith with his 1997 single Bi 'Daha , the lyrics of which came from Sezen Aksu. His following albums, Adı Menekşe (1998), Aşkla (2001) and, after a long break, Uslanmadım (2004) were somewhat less successful .
